1. Please give us a bit of background on who you are and what you do?
My professional experience started working as an Administrative Manager for an Audiovisual Production company in Spain for 3 years. After that, I moved to Legal Consulting for a Law Firm in Barcelona, Spain for another 3 years . Additionally I did an Internship in Beijing, China where I worked as an Associate for an investment fund.
I wanted to improve my skills in finance so I moved to the Netherlands 2 years ago to pursue a Masters in Finance. That went wrong and quit the Masters after 3 months. I found a Programming Bootcamp in Rotterdam and applied there. That decision was life-changing since I discovered everything technology can do for me.
After finishing the bootcamp and working 6 months for anotherr company I decided open my own Digital Agency to provide service for e-commerce starters.
2. What are three business & life lessons you have learned throughout your journey?
To take care of the people you work with since they will be the ones that will support you when hard times come.
As with any type of relationship what you put in you get back. Meaning that if you put effort and hard-work you will see results otherwise you won't.
To be flexible and adapt to unknown situations because those will built a stronger character and make you a better business person.
3. What advice can you give other entrepreneurs that are struggling to break through the glass ceiling in reaching their goals?
To constantly analyze their results, be humble and admit when they are wrong. Specially at the beginning all entrepreneurs face a lot of rejection and dealing with it is part of the process, nothing is personal.
4. When & how did your big shift take place?
When I was working at my last job I felt and I knew I would not enter corporate lifestyle working for another company but under my own start up. I always had the desire to do something by myself and commit as many mistakes as possible to learn and improve. Besides my job I always took advantage of what I knew to generate extra incomes for myself so entrepreneurship came naturally to me.
5. What inspires and motivates you? What wakes you up every morning, make you get the work done and do it all over again the next day?
What makes me wake up is the thought that I can learn a lot more than yesterday, I can help people to put up a business and run it. I can improve as an entrepreneur and as a person. I feel glad and blessed that I have the freedom and resources to become a better entrepreneur and person.
6. How do you differentiate yourself from your competitors? What makes you unique?
I differentiate myself by analyzing what they are doing and what I can do different. Even in highly competitive markets such as web development I try to find niches and gaps in those niches and develop software solutions people are looking for. I try to solve customer need and analyze what customers expect from me.
7. What do you think is the biggest trend we will see in 2019 within the entrepreneur space?
We will see more independent freelancers willing to leave their 9-5 jobs. We will see more women in male-dominated industries such as tech or finance. More globalized solutions instead of local to reach to more customers. An increase in the investment that companies do to improvee their technologies.
