I am the loving wife of Keith, who is a two-time cancer survivor, and the mother of an amazing son Kevin who works with special education students, and I just celebrated my 79th birthday! I have authored two award-winning books entitled “The Secrets to How Not to Throw Mama from The Train”, about how to navigate the challenges in the adult daughter/aging mother relationship, and “The Little Book of BIG Behavior Interventions” which focuses on the common misbehaviors of small children. I was honored to be chosen to write the introductory chapter “Is Your Voice Being Heard” in a collaborative work entitled “Harness the Power of Purpose”.  Presently I host “Relationship Matters tv” on the e360tv network where I feature guests who offer skills that support different varieties of relationships.

What is one of your core business values?  

My most important core value for my business and also for me personally is Integrity. It is the core quality of having a successful business and a happy life. Having integrity means you are true to yourself and would do nothing that demeans or dishonors you or your business. In order to have a successful business, and live an authentic life, you must keep your commitments and maintain honesty. I believe that integrity enhances all other values.

Integrity means you are honest and take accountability for what you say you are going to do. When you respect others, you listen to individuals, appreciate different perspectives, make them feel included, heard and valued, and proactively seek diverse thinking to make the best business decisions.

I have had an interesting love story with technology and marketing for >15 years almost. One that has led me to work with many early stage and growth startups as well as cloud and technology giants like Oracle and now Google - all in Silicon Valley (not a coincidence:-)).

Most recently, I ventured into content for social impact tech in India and other countries. This is to do something meaningful with technology for education and other burning social needs. It has been an eye-opening experience to work with initiatives like these to say the least. These very nimble social startups are driving applied virtual education in remote India and other countries via apps and other mediums (in collaboration with foundations like UNICEF).

It was a life ambition to do something with social impact tech before I turned 50. The pandemic accelerated the execution. And now, on the mission to bring Content Sense to these initiatives during my spare time and weekends.

 Ten years ago, I said yes to an opportunity from an Australian University: to teach counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and coaches, how to help people with severe mental illnesses to turn their life around. My work sent me all over the country to upskill hundreds of professionals in hospitals and the community. As a psychologist, I felt it was inauthentic if I didn´t practice what I was preaching. So I began using the very same strategies to make changes in my own life.

 Little did I know then, that besides making such a difference for others, those strategies would also lead me to the incredible lifestyle that I have now. I co-own a business with a heart and employ dozens of mental health professionals around the world, who improve workplace wellbeing for some of the most recognised brands and organisations out there. I get to live overseas and travel to some of the most amazing places on each continent. I enjoy every single day, sharing new adventures with my husband and son. I am a woman of influence and inspiration which causes others to live a rich and full life beyond what can be imagined. As someone who has overcome devastating life events, I know I have not gotten through them, just to get through them. I related to what, author, Sheila Walsh said – “For many years I applied an anesthetic to my soul, only to discover that you cannot be selective about which parts of your life you deaden.
